Today’s Scripture Reading: Psalms 121:1-8; Romans 8:28

Over the past week, we have been meditating on the theme “Running With the Horsemen”. As I was rounding up today’s instalment of the theme, I took
another journey down my childhood memory lane, as I remembered one of my favourite toys that I loved to play with as a child. The toy was named
Bobo (pronounced “bow-bow”).

Bobo was a very simple toy. I’m sure in this digital age, the talk of having a toy that was enjoyable to play with and needed no form of electronics,
computing or battery to power it, will be a totally alien concept. But Bobo truly was an amazing delight to play with; it was a colourful 4-foot
high soft plastic clown with a weighted half-ball base instead of feet, that made Bobo to bop and sway from side to side when you hit it.

This made it so that, no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn’t get Bobo to stay down. As hard as you hit Bobo, he sprung right back up with
that silly clown grin on its face daring you to try again. You see, Bobo had been designed to never stay down if it was knocked down; it would
fall over when it was hit, but it was designed to always spring back up immediately, and bop upright in its standing position!

Bobo had what you might call Spring-backupability, and if Bobo had a twitter presence, his hashtag would scream: #wontstayknockeddown, #youcantkeepmedown,
#amstillstanding, #stillsmiling!

We can be like Bobo in Christ Jesus. Hear me, Child of God; God’s call to you today is to arise and go forward. To get up and stand strong again. You
can’t stay knocked down if you are standing in Christ.

It’s time for you to allow the Spirit of God that is in you to breathe a fresh breath of life into you. You will not be defeated. You will not be confounded.
You will not be dismayed. You will not be disappointed. Again I say to you – Stand strong in Christ Jesus.

As The Psalmist reminds us in Psalm 34:19;

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.”(Psalms‬ ‭34:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Paul also says to us in his writings:

“8We are experiencing trouble on every side, but are not crushed; we are perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9we are persecuted, but not abandoned; we are knocked down, but not destroyed”. (2Cor 4:8-9 NET)

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”
‭‭(2 Corinthians‬ ‭2:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ!

That’s the reason why you can get up from your knock backs and dust up yourself from your knock downs. Christ in you is the hope of Glory.

LIFE APPLICATION:
1. What is God saying to me in today’s message?
2. What was ministered to me in the bible verses that I read today?
3. What are the changes or adjustments I need to make in my life to align with the word of God?
4. What is my commitment to the word for today?
5. What practical steps can I take to benefit from the word I have read today?

PRAYER FOCUS:
Spend the day thanking God for His grace, His goodness, His mercy and His favour in your life.

There are some things that you have allowed the enemy to disrupt in your life. Bring those things before the throne of grace today and pray that they
become subject to the will of God.

Pray that God will revive your vision and your passion for your destiny.

Confess, claim and thank Him for the victory you will begin to walk in from today in Jesus’s Name.

The joy of the Lord is your strength.

God bless you and keep you standing in Christ,
