Reflection & Thanksgiving
PRAYER FOCUS — Acknowledging and Celebrating God’s Past Faithfulness
Scriptures for Meditation — Psalm 66:1-20; Psalm 67:5-7
What Do You Say?
Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me! Psa 66:20
Sometimes, we can get distracted by these things and become despondent and discouraged. At other times, they may even have taken us away from the place of fellowship and prayer, or consumed us so much that we lose sight of the great things that God has done, or even fail to realise those things that He is currently doing in our lives!
Even if that is not so in your case, we nonetheless can never quite thank God enough, for His grace and mercy towards us!
The first part of our devotion today will be spent on recounting the faithfulness of God in our lives and family, work, career, church, business, etc. We will remind ourselves of His goodness and find someone to share it with. (Your spouse, parents, children, siblings, colleagues, etc).
We will also say as the Psalmist did —
Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men. Psa 66:5
And again, in Psa 66:16,
Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul.
Let’s count our blessings and be thankful for what we do have and for where we are at, whilst waiting for those other things we are believing Him to do, and where we are looking for Him to take us to.
In closing, let’s spend some time celebrating the goodness of God and thank Him prophetically in advance for those things we know He will do in our midst and in your life, as we gather before Him during this coming retreat.
- Thank God for your life and the victory that will be your portion.
- Thank God for your expectations that He will meet and exceed through the workings of His mighty Power in the precious Name of Jesus.
- Thank God in advance for your miracle
- Thank God in advance that He will give you a new testimony as He comes through for you in response to your petitions in Jesus’s Name.
May the Lord hear and answer your prayers in Jesus’s Name. Amen
Shalom,
Pastor Wale Ola
