Day 3 Fasting and Prayers — October 2019

Set Me on Fire for You My Lord

Romans 12:11; Acts 8:39; John 14:9-21

The lyrics of Jesus Culture song “Set a Fire” sums up our prayer for the last day of the fast.

Set a fire down in my soul

That I can’t contain, I can’t control

I want more of You, God

I want more of You, God

Set a fire down in my soul

That I can’t contain, I can’t control

‘Cause I want more of You, God

I want more of You, God

It takes the Holy Spirit to ignite something in us to cause us to be on fire for God, but this comes from the place of desire. A place where we absolutely desire to abandon ourselves in Him and let Him lead us, teach us, let Him guide us, let Him instruct us.

Prayer Focus:

* Make the words of the above song your prayer

* Ask that the totality of your being will align with the will of God.

* Psalm 37:4 NIV says, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to delight in the Lord.

* Pray that the power of God will come upon you like never before and the Holy Spirit will overshadow you and cause you to begin to work in the power of the “greater works than this” that Jesus Christ told us about in John 14:12.

(Pray the above prayers for your family and also your brethren in this Church)

* Pray that our hearts will long after what He longs for.

* Pray that we will make God and the things of the Kingdom our priority

* Pray that whatever shackles have held us back from fully seeking and following the Lord as we ought will be consumed by His fire in Jesus’ name.

* Pray also for this nation that righteousness will be restored in it and that the knowledge of our God will fill this Land in Jesus’ name.

May the world truly see us manifest as the sons of God.

Be blessed!

Day 2 Prayer and Fasting — October 2019

Day 2 Prayer and Fasting — October 2019

Cleanse Me Lord, Create in me a Clean Heart

Psalm 51; proverbs 21:2; Numbers 12:3

“Who can understand his errors or omissions? Acquit me of hidden (unconscious, unintended) faults. Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous (deliberate, willful) sins; Let them not rule and have control over me. Then I will be blameless (complete), And I shall be acquitted of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my [firm, immovable] rock and my Redeemer.” Psalms‬ ‭19:12-14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Still continuing on our theme for this month’s fastIng and prayers — intimacy with God. We need to take stock and make sure our hearts are right before God.

Micah 6:8 says, “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. The Bible says God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).

Walking with God requires humility.

So let’s pray:

‭~ Lord, work in me both to will and to do Your good pleasure (Philippians 2:13), I surrender to You. Take my heart and mould it after Your will.

~ Have mercy on me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Deliver me from hidden faults and keep me back from presumptuous sins. Renew a right spirit within me.

~ “Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.” Psalms‬ ‭143:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

~ Awaken my ears to hear as I ought and my heart to understand what You say to me.

~ May I be sensitive to the Holy Spirit leading.

Pray these prayers also for the brethren in church and for your family.

May the good Lord bless you more and more, and reveal more of Himself to you in Jesus’ name.

Day 1 — October 2019 Fasting & Prayers

Day 1 — October 2019 Fasting & Prayers

I WANT TO KNOW YOU MORE

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.” Psalms 42:1 NIV

Our focus for this month’s Fasting and Prayers is — Intimacy with God

Today’s theme: Seeking His Presence.

Read: Exodus 33; Philippians 3:7-10

Prayer Focus:

1. Take time to really worship God (Psalm 100).

2. Spend time also seeking the Lord desiring to know Him better. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you know the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ better.

Say to Him,

“Father, help me to know You better, grant me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that I may grow in my knowledge of You. (Ephesians 1:17)

[ “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” Ephesians 1:17 NIV)]

3. Ask for a divine visitation. That God will visit you like He has never done better. Cry out to Him for His Presence. Say to Him, “Lord I am nothing apart from You. I desire You O Lord, come and fill my whole being with the essence of who You are, help me to know Your Presence more and more”

4. I hunger and thirst for You my Lord, the Fountain of Living Water and the Bread of Life, feed me and fill me I pray.

[“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.” Isaiah 55:1 NIV]

May grace and mercy be multiplied unto you in Jesus’ name.
