Cleanse Me Lord, Create in me a Clean Heart

Psalm 51; proverbs 21:2; Numbers 12:3

“Who can understand his errors or omissions? Acquit me of hidden (unconscious, unintended) faults. Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous (deliberate, willful) sins; Let them not rule and have control over me. Then I will be blameless (complete), And I shall be acquitted of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my [firm, immovable] rock and my Redeemer.” Psalms‬ ‭19:12-14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Still continuing on our theme for this month’s fastIng and prayers — intimacy with God. We need to take stock and make sure our hearts are right before God.

Micah 6:8 says, “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. The Bible says God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).

Walking with God requires humility.

So let’s pray:

‭~ Lord, work in me both to will and to do Your good pleasure (Philippians 2:13), I surrender to You. Take my heart and mould it after Your will.

~ Have mercy on me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Deliver me from hidden faults and keep me back from presumptuous sins. Renew a right spirit within me.

~ “Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.” Psalms‬ ‭143:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

~ Awaken my ears to hear as I ought and my heart to understand what You say to me.

~ May I be sensitive to the Holy Spirit leading.

Pray these prayers also for the brethren in church and for your family.

May the good Lord bless you more and more, and reveal more of Himself to you in Jesus’ name.
