Are You Ready?
Scriptures For Meditation — Joshua 3:1-17; John 16:13; Psalm 32:8
“When you see the right thing, you will hear the right word.”
This was what the Lord impressed on my mind as I prepared to write today’s blog.
They are many things that are happening in the world and in many people’s lives right now that we haven’t ever seen before; too many things that we may not really know what we are meant to focus on. Maybe you can identify with this as you read this today.
On the first day of our fasting, God spoke to us about Moses and his burning bush experience — how his focus on the right thing was the precursor to him receiving a revelation of God’s plans concerning his life and the nation of Israel.
Perhaps God is waiting for you to also see right, so that you can hear Him right in this season?
Looking Unto Jesus
In our scripture for meditation today, we see the children of Israel at the threshold of a very important intersection in their history; they were about to exit the wilderness and enter into a new phase of their journey into the promised land, as they crossed the Jordan River.
God this time, helped them with their focus, by telling them what they were to look at — they were to keep their eyes on the Ark of the Covenant, and on the priests on whose shoulders it was being carried.
The Ark of the Covenant was a representation of the Shekinah Glory, the very presence of God in the midst of the Israelites.
“That you may know the way by which you must go”, shows that as the ark of the covenant led the way, Israel would accomplish this impossible task of passing through the Jordan River, as they set their eyes upon God’s presence, and followed only after His leading.
When we are looking out for Divine guidance to navigate this season, it is critical that there be nothing in the way to obscure the object or to distort our vision of His leading.
Will You FollowThe Way Maker?
As we stand on the threshold of the new things that God is about to do in our lives, our nation and ministry at this time, we also must heed the call to take our eyes off the things that surround and distract us, and keep them firmly focused on Jesus as He leads the way!
“Sanctify Yourselves…”
The people were also enjoined to “Sanctify themselves”.
This means they were to separate themselves from common things to focus in on the LORD, and to see that the LORD will do wonders among them.
Hitherto, the Israelites had been led on their way by the pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night; but now, things were to change —the Ark was now to be the Way Maker to lead them into the promised land.
Friends, I really believe in my heart that God is doing new things in His Church at this time that we have to correctly respond to. We need to keep our eyes on Jesus as He navigates us through this way that we’ve never been through before. We can’t afford to take our eyes off Him!
Are you ready and prepared to follow the Ark into Jordan…?

PRAYER FOCUS
Let’s begin by sanctifying ourselves as we get ready to follow His Holy presence into the new place that He’s leading us into.
Let’s ask Him to show us what we need to address in our lives; what we need to rid ourselves of to make ourselves ready as brides prepared for the groom.
Let’s pray for the priests (the leaders that God has appointed) that they will stand strong to lead under the unction of God’s presence and power.
Let’s pray for them, that they will hear correctly and with clarity, the instructions that God is speaking to the Church at this time, so that the people they are leading can follow the leading of the Lord into their promised inheritance.
Let’s pray specifically for the leadership of GLA, that as we wait on the Lord for direction on the way to go in this season especially post-Covid, that we will open our ears, our eyes and our hearts to how God is leading His Church in this season that is upon us.
Pray for yourself, that God will give you the grace, wisdom and the boldness to embrace and step into the new things that He may be requiring of you.
