This Months Theme: Bearing Good Fruit

Scriptures for Meditation: Heb 13:15, Hosea 14:2, Rom 12:1

As we come to the end of this month, one thing that we can definitely say, is that the Lord has been gracious and faithful to keep us through this year.

Day One Prayer Focus

1. We are going to start this series of fasting as we always do, by first thanking God for all that He’s done in our lives. Look around you; look at your life and your family and count all the things that God has done, that you can thank Him for.

As the scriptures say in Isaiah 57:19 —

Peace, peace, to him who is far off [both Jew and Gentile] and to him who is near! says the Lord; I create the fruit of his lips, and I will heal him [make his lips blossom anew with speech in thankful praise].

Give thanks to the Lord and pray that He will heal and rid your life of anything that may hinder or impact your fruitfulness, and that He will cause your lips to blossom anew with speech in thankful praise.

2. Next, we are going to respond to God’s goodness by offering not just the fruit of our lips in thanksgiving, but also offering our very lives as consecrated vessels unto Him.

As Paul also writes to the church in the book of Romans 12:1 —

I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

Rededicate your life to Christ.

Ask God to give you the grace for a renewed commitment to Him and the power to live a life that honours and brings glory to His Name.
